Office Depot weekly back to school specials!

Office Depot is having back to school specials for the week, including a number of teaser freebies to get people through the door!

The free item of this week is the Child ID kit but you have to purchase a $5 ID which makes it no so free after all.

But fear not, a penny is as close to free as one can get! This week one penny will get you a 12" wooden ruler (ODP brand), a slider pencil box (nice, also ODP brand), and a TUG pencil sharpener. All these, for 1c per item!!!

Moving to 5c, we can get a 16pk of Scholastic Crayons. Nice price, don't you agree? :) Same price can get you a 2-pocket paper folder.

Then for a quarter (25c), you can get a 10-pack of PaperMate Ballpoitn stick pens.

Then if you feel like spending big, 79 cents will get you two pairs of sciscors.

$10 2gb mp3 player (USB Stick)
Yes, just $10 for the Ativa ATMP200 USB stick mp3 player. This is however after a $40 mail-in rebate. But if you are good with rebates, and patient and organized, this is a nice deal!

$250 Desktop computer after rebates!
If you are looking for a really cheap desktop computer that is good for general purpose computer tasks (web browsing, email, word processing, etc), they are offering the HP SR5501P tower system, with an AMD dual core X2 4200 processor, 1gb memory, 160gb hard disk, dvd burner with lightscribe and such. You do get the $250 after two mail-in rebates totalling $100, so your out of store price is $350 + sales tax if applicable.
