Attention Mervyn's shoppers! Today, Sunday June 29, 2008 is the last day to participate in the promotion that gets you $10 free with purchases over $50 at Mervyn's stores! Note that the reward is not unconditional, you will receive a reward for $10 off a purchase of $25 or more during July 2nd to 9th 2008. Prices before sales tax of course.

And what's even better, this can be combined with the 15% off discount when opening a new Mervny's credit account, according to the fineprint found on the last page of this week's Mervyn's circular which you can find in the Sunday paper.

The Sunday circular ad mentions that there is storewide clearance this week of up to 70% off orginal prices, so shop early and often!

Strategy Session: How to make the best bang for the buck
If you are planning a shopping spree, at Mervyn's or at a competitor's store, here is what to do: Pick up the stuff that you need this week and make sure they are at least $50, or more, before sales tax. Then mark a few items to shop for next week (7/2/08 to 7/9/08) and make sure they will be worth $25 or more. For example a pair of Levis jeans or Dockers slacks, or a pair of shoes or a coffee machine or a watch. Since the promotion period starts on 7/2/08, you can buy items from this week's circular, since it is good until Saturday July 5, 2008.

This way not only you get the $10 off coupon, you have also planned out what to buy next week in order to spend the $25 coupon!
