Panda Security Free after mail-in rebate

Amazon is having a sale and a mail-in rebate, that when combined will get you the Panda Internet Security 2008 software package for FREE!

The price is $20, and the mail-in rebate is $20. You do have to place an order over $25 if you would like ot receive free shipping. One way to do this is add an Amazon gift certificate to the order, so that it gets you over $25. You can use the gift certificate towards your next Amazon order, or give it to someone else as an impromptu gift.

Free in the Sunday paper (June 29 to July 5)

Welcome to a new edition of the Free After Rebate in the Sunday Paper! We have some nice goodies this week, so be sure to pay attention!


Two freebies at RiteAid
And they are nice deals too! Both qualify for the Single Check Rebate program, so you can submit them online, without needing to mail-in receipts or anything else. Nice! A new rebate-month starts today at RiteAid so be sure to remember to process your June 2008 rebates as well.

The two free items are the Giovanni Shampoo and Conditioner, priced at $7 before the rebate. This is a sleek-looking bottle, and looks like something you would get at a hair products store. These are 8.5oz bottles. Do note that this is a three-day rebate, so you have until 7/1/08 to get it. It won't last for the whole week!

Next up something for men, $6 before the rebate, either a 6oz Oxy Face Wash or a 5.2oz Oxy Shave Cream. This is a brand new item, and it's good for the whole week, but don't sleep on it, because they may run out of store. The better the deal usually, the faster they run out of stock!


Free Software after rebate at Staples
If you don't mind mail-in rebates and such, you can get the Norton Antivirus 2008 free after rebate at Staples. Do note that this requires mail-in rebates through Norton, and it's not necessarily going through the nice EasyRebates program of Staples. Be sure to check their website and circular ad for more details!

This software package is good for one-PC. Some other packages may be good of up to three PCs. Oh these crazy software peoplez are confusing us!


Free at Walgreens
A new rebate-month starts at Walgreens today, so be sure to remember to process your June 2008 EasySaver catalog rebates. Walgreens only gives us one week, they expect them to be postmarked by Saturday July 5, 2008, and with the 4th of July holiday, you'd better get them out of the way on Monday!

Anyway, back to this week's freebies, Walgreens has a 99c rebate that makes the Hebert's Fully Loaded Bar free after rebate. They have two flavors, Dark Turtle or Rocky Road. The packaging is colorful and rather unique, so it's hard to miss. These are candy with an attitude! No more generic wrappers :) The bars are 2.75oz. Dark Turtle as the name suggests has dark chocolate so you can consider that a nutriotional supplement :)

Also free after mail-in rebate using the rebate on the package (not the EasySaver catalog) is the FreeStyle Lite glucose monitoring system. Limit one rebate. The price you pay is $10, and after you submit and receive the $10 mail-in rebate on the box, the item becomes FREE. Of course none of the rebates refund sales tax, but hey, they help build schools and such :)

Free after rebate this week in the Sunday paper

Let's see what type of freebies we have this week in the Sunday paper!

At Rite Aid, it's double rebate on select products, and the second rebate makes them free. All can be submitted online by simply entering the receipt data from your receipt on the Rite Aid rebates website and you are done! No need to mail anything or cut upc codes! The free item is Nature Made's Rx Essentials Daily Supplement Nutrients. Limit one rebate, assorted formulas are eligible, 30 to 60 ct. The price before rebate is $10. Sales tax is not refunded however.

On the software front, the Norton Internet Security 2008 software suite is free after two rebates at Staples.

Also Fry's Electronics has a nubmer of software titles free after rebate!

Please check the rebate terms, for some of the software titles, they are free after a competitive upgrade or an upgrade from a previous version.

But perhaps the most interesting item of the week is the Acer Aspire AS4520 laptop computer for a flat $500 without any rebates to be sent. This is a loaded laptop for the price range, given that it has a built-in webcam and memory card reader on top of the usual assortment of features such as dvd burner and 120gb hard disk. The only downside for some people is that it has a 14.1" widescreen. But for those who like smaller laptops/smaller screens, this would be a plus. Plus if you are going to be using this at home or at the office most of the time, you can always pick up one of those 17" or 19" widescreen LCD external monitors for $150 to $200.

As you can see, there are no door busters next week (other than the Acer), perhaps trying to make up for some of the good offers going on this week. And it's not too late to take advantage of this week's special offers, which includes the Compaq Presario F730us notebook computer at the very nice price of $450 after a $30 mail in rebate. If they have any in stock, this is definitely worth a look!

Columbus day spectacular at Staples!

Computer and Electronics
Where do we start? How about a 32" LCD HDTV from Mag(who?) for $500, no rebates. Well, that's why it's $500 :-) The model number is MA-32EF1ASP, and good while supplies last. Meanwhile a 19" Acer LCD wide-screen monitor is just $140 without rebates. Not bad!

The Compaq Presario F730us laptop is a very nice deal at $450 after $30 rebate. A very nice sub-$500 laptop for sure. Meanwhile for desktop hunters, the Compaq Presario SR5210NX is $400 after an Easy rebate. It includes a 17" wide LCD monitor W179, Centrino 420 (no jokes please!), 1gb ram, 120gb disk, supermulti dvd burner avec lightscribe, and Vista Premium. Not bad for a pre-packaged brick and mortar deal I say.

Because it's never a bad time to accessorize, how about a 4gb PNY Readyboost USB flash drive is just $30 without any rebates? Nice price! Meanwhile Microsoft wants your business because the Microsoft 1000 wireless optical keyboard/mouse combo is just $20 without rebates. But the keyboard is big and ugly :(

And how about some memory? The PNY 1GB DDR II PC5300 desktop or laptop memory is $40, while the PNY 1GB DDR PC3200 desktop memory is $60. Same price for the PNY 1GB DDR PC2700 notebook memory.


DVD Media Sales!
Save your data on 100pks of Sony DVD-R or DVD+R for $23 per spindle. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that comes out to 23c per blank dvd. Want less? A 50pk costs $13, which comes out to 26c per blank. And for those who care, some of them might be Made in Japan. Your mileage may (and will) vary!

On the non-Sony front, Kodak's 50pk goes for $10 translating to 20c per blank. I suggest getting the Sonys for an extra 3c per blank!

And finally the rewriteables are on sale! Woohoo! A 25pk of Sony DVD-RW or DVD+RW goes for $13, meaning 52c per blank rewriteable.

And where to store the DVDs? How about a 50pk of Staples branded slim-line jewel cases for $8 (16c per disc) or a 224-CD/DVD Staples-branded binder for $10 after a $5 Easy Rebate. The binder is clearly a more affordable solution as it comes out to about 4.5c per disc. These may be limit 10 per rebate but ask/check!

Double your business card order for up to 500 free business cards. Business cards in the internet era? Well, why not? As long as you recycle them after you are done :)

Creative Zen V Plus, a cutesy 2gb mp3 player for $70. For the same price but after an Easy Rebate you can get the Sansa E250, also at 2gb. Meanwhile the 30gb Microsoft Zune continues to slide in price, now $200 even. Want something really cheap that has the stones? The Creative 1gb Zen Stone is just $35 and without any rebates!

The Tracfone Motorola C139 is $15, while Motorola Tracphone V170 is $20. Both are for usre with the Tracfone pre-paid cellular phone service.

Lots and lots of software packages are free after rebate this weekend at Fry's but only buy them if you are committed to actually submiting and tracking the rebates.
