Free Printer Cartridge refill on April 2nd at Walgreens!

Fans of free, we have some good news for you! Walgreens has been sending emails to the people in their mailing list for a free printer cartridge refill special on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008. Check your emails if you are subscribed to Walgreens specials, or check their website for more details.

The refills are available for the following brands only, Dell, Lexmark, Okidata, HP, Xerox, Sharp and Primera. As you can see it is a pretty nice list as it includes some of the most popular manufacturers, but obviously not all of them as Canon, Brother, and Epson are not on the list. To see the complete list of compatible printers, be sure to check the Walgreens Printer List.

You can print the coupon online but you can also find it in the weekly Walgreens circular ad which can be found in your Sunday paper, but also in your local Walgreens store! Check the Walgreens site to find participating stores in the promotion.

The coupon is located on page #5 of the ad, and the special is only good for Wednesday April 2nd (In Hawaii, the special is valid on Monday April 7). You don't have to buy anything to get this freebie! The promotion goes all throughout the day, obviously during the hours that the store is open. Some are open 24 hours, others are open for fewer hours.

The value of this freebie is $10 for a black refill and $15 for a color ink refill, but on that very day you are getting it for free. It is probably Walgreens way of introducing this service to the world and getting repeat customers. A risky perhaps strategy since many people like FREE :)

The terms on the coupon state one refill per person per household, and other restrictions and such may apply.

1c auction-style listings on eBay for a whole week!

eBay is trying to generate some buzz on its site by offering eBay sellers and eBay users in general a special on linsting fees. But there is a catch, the sellers must have a certain DSR level to get the special promotion. Apparently eBay does not want to encourage "iffy" sellers to flood the market with more "iffy" listings :)

The special promotion, in pacific time, ranges from March 25 to 31st, 2008. Details on it by eBay itself.

DSR for those not familiar, is the relatively new "detailed seller rating" that eBay introduced so as to give buyers a better handle on how good a seller is. They apparently decided that the three tier rating of "positive", "neutral", or "negative" was not detailed enough, and it was not giving buyers an accurate picture.

There are some exclusions and restrictions and such, so be sure to read all the details, and if you haven't check, take a look at your DSR rating if you are an eBay seller.

Free after rebate in this week's Sunday paper

Hello fans of freebies! Let's see what we have in this week's Sunday newspaper ads. FREE is good! We like FREE! So let's get started!

First up, not rebates, but rather Cash Register Rewards at Walgreens. These are better than rebates, since you receive them at checkout, and can use them the next time you shop. They do have their restrictions, but if you are a regular shopper at Walgreens, or if you can find something to buy there (they do have a variety of items), then it's a good deal. Lots of soaps this week. Details here.

Staying at Walgreens, and using their new March 2008 EasySaver rebate catalog, you can get FREE after mail-in rebate the following three items: $13 rebate will make the Garnier Nutritioniste Skin review free. The packaging looks nice too, with the bright green and black. And FREE feels better :) And your teeth will feel better when you brush them with the free after $3 rebate Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste. It won't taste good - very bland taste - but it tastes FREE :)

The last item is an $8 rebate, and gives you Nature Made Liquid softgels - vitamins or supplements. This is good for 60ct to 100ct. Be sure to check the rebate book and the available selection so you can get the right item. There are softgels, liquid gels, tablets, caplets, craplets, and such ;-)

Also free after a $10 mail in rebate is the Green Dot PRePaid Vista or Mastercard card, but beware! These have monthly fees regardless of usage, so only get them if you can't get a regular gift card or other Visa or Mastercard card.

And the last free after rebate item at Walgreens is the One Touch Ultra 2 blood glucose testing system. Limit one free. The rebate is not part of the EasySaver catalog, but rather you have to use the rebate on the box of the Ultra 2.

Rite Aid
And now to Rite Aid! A combined rebate, both the Rite aid rebate and a coupon in the coupon section of the Sunday paper will magically convert the Mach 3 disposable razors into FREE (eventually). It's a $3 coupon and a $3 rebate. You will receive the $3 Single Check rebate from Rite Aid after you submit your March 2008 rebates and of course the coupon discount will be applied right away.

The good thing with the Rite Aid single check rebates is that they can be submitted online, and there's no need to xerox and mail receipts and forms and such. How 20th century! Do it all online! Well done Rite Aid!!!

Also free after a combined $6 Single Check Rebate and a $4 coupon from the Sunday paper coupon book is the Gillete Venus Embrace green razor for dramatically smooth skin. Limit one item for coupon purposes. Five bladed are included in the package.

And this concluses our freebies segment. Did we miss anything? :)

eBay slashes listing upgrade prices for March 1 and 2, 2008

eBay sellers, eBay is running a special for you! The listing upgrade prices have been slashed! These are not the standard listing prices, but prices of listing upgrades, things like the "Value pack", "Featured Plus", "Picture Pack". If you don't know what these mean, you are probably not using them.

If your listings are just the basic with the minimum fee required, you won't save a thing. But if you do usually pick extra listing features, you may get some nice savings.

Also, this could be a good opportunitey for you to experiment with these new features at a discounted prices. More details at eBay.com.

    Dell HDTV televisions coupon specials!

Dell has a few limited edition coupons for various HDTVs! So if you need a television, take a look at these offers from Dell. Here we go!

First up, Save $220 on Sharp® AQUOS® 26" LC26D43U 720p LCD HDTV. Only $679 after savings! As you can see the prices even for the big names have dropped. It's no longer just the OEMs and store-brands that are "affordable"!

Moving on up, in price and size and features, Save $200 on Philips® 42" 42P FL5332D 720p LCD HDTV. Only $1199 after savings!. Keep in mind this is 720p, not 1080p, which is why you are paying a lower price. Not that there's anything dramatically wrong with 720p, considering that only BluRay offers true 1080p, broadcast and cable/satellite do not!

And now an even bigger one, Save $500 on Sony® 52" KDL-52W3000 1080p LCD HDTV. Only $2499 after savings!. As you can see, it's not just the size and the Sony brand that double the price compared to the 42" Philips in the previous paragraph. It's also the 1080p.

So ultimately what do you get? 1080p or 720p? Well, that is a very good question. There is no one-size-fits-all answer. It depends on your needs, and also what you plan to do with the TV in question. Will you be watching mostly TV? BluRay discs? Will this be your primary TV? Will it be a secondary TV? Will it be the centerpiece of your home theater or a bedroom TV? Or will it be used at the office to watch some programming or will it used in an art studio to showcase arts and pictures? I could go on for years, I hope you get my point... :)
