Labor Day Brick and mortal round-up (Big 5, Magnolia, etc)

Big 5 goes coupon crazy with coupons that expire on Sept 4. Some of the couponed items: Denali Riley Creek or Rugged Exposure Astoria II for $13, Attix Swindle or Electron $12, Converse Athletic BBSE HI or Memorial OX (I don't make up those names, the shoe companies do!) for $25, New Balance 507 with visible Abzorb $40. Timex 100m water resistant Ironman or Expedition watches for $19, Coleman South Fork sleeping bag $20, Maui Hana River sandals with three pint adjustable straps just $10! Wool team replica hats $10, Wilson cup $5. This is just a small sampling. Their 4-page ad is filled with coupons. Don't throw it away! And if you did, dig it out! It will be worth it!

The Sports Authority has two coupons (good for today), one is $10 off pruchase of $50 or more, the other is $25 off purchase of $100 or more. They do have some restrictions and such so be sure to pick up the magnifying glass and read the fineprint. Some items of interest: 20% off gold apparel from Pebble Beach, Adidas and Nike. 30% off on TeVa Celso, Adidas Chayassage and Nike Straprunner sandals. Asics GeL-Cumulus running shoe is $60 (looks very sleek). Also 30% on Coleman camping gear and 40% off the entire stock of Alpine Design. And don't forget their final clearance online!

Magnolia HiFi (now a Best Buy company) offers no interest for 18 months on all home theaters $399 and higher. Other items of interest: Samsung's LNT4053H 40" LCD HDTV for $1300 (isn't it nice that HDTV LCD prices are falling!), Samsung FPT5084 50" 1080p plasma HDTV $2800, Samsung HPT5054 50" plamsa HDTV as well $1800 (the price difference? let me guess, 1080p vs 1080i/720p?). But if you prefer Denon, their bundle consists of the Denon AVR3808CI and the Denon DVD2930CIBLA for $2250. If you want to put some music into your wicked garden, the Niles OS5.3WHI outdoor speakers can be had for $210 per pair, or you can upgrade to the Niles RS6GRAN rock speakers for $460 per pair. If you prefer you can blend in the Niles PS6SI planter speakers that go for $350 each.
