Office Depot week-long deals (Sept 2 thru Sept 8)

First let's start with the doorbusters, the under 99c items to get you in the door. Please be ware that Office Depot is a little bit different from Office Max and Staples. In order to get the low price you must purchase EXACTLY the specified amount. Weird but what can you do? Four wooden rules for $1, 3pks of 12pk pens for 99c, 2 poly portfolios for $1, Mead notebooks 99c each. Also 50% off select backpacks.

You can earn 5% back for the school of your choice. Also be informed that their rewards program has changed to match Staples's 10% back on ink, paper and copy, but unlike Staples, Office Depot continues to have the 1% back on everything else. Evil Staples Rewards managers took that away! Grrrr!

A few random offers: More school supplies at 50% off. Select writing instruments at Buy 2 Get 1 Free. Calculators start at $5. GE 5.8ghz cordless handset $10 after $15 MIR, free after mail-in rebates with the purchase of a new PC is the Computer Associates Internet Security 2007 suite, NetGear 10/100 Ethernet card $5 after $10 MIR. Also buy 1 get 1 free on select packages of Office Depot and Ativa branded optical media (DVD or CD).

On the computer front, a $250 Compaq Presario desktop bundle with an AMD Athlon 64 3800 is featured, bundled with a CRT monitor that is. If you prefer a bundle with an LCD monitor, there is an HP Pavilion slimline for $430. Both require rebates! And a $300 laptop (after rebates) is offered. Check the notebook deals blog for more details. These are CRAZY deals on laptops, starting at $300 after rebate. A number of models from a number of makers. This is probably a better laptop sale than the one of Circuit City

Viewsonic monitors on sale! 17" for $200 or 19" for $230. These are widescreen LCD! Upgrade to 20" for just $10 but to get that price you have send a mail-in rebate. For $300 after MIR you can get the 22" model.

Lots of printers on sale, some of them as low as 50% off and starting at $65. Way too many to list here! You get a choice of all sorts, from all-in-one, photo printers, laser printers, ink jets, even invisible ink printers (okay, the last one is a joke).

Keyboard and mouse sale madness ensures with advertised keyboards starting at $15 (Microsoft Curve Comfort keyboard) and advertised mice starting at $20 (Microsoft Comfort optical mouse). Microsoft Hardware is celebrating its 25 years of bluescreens, so expect some special deals and prices.

Furniture website for $50 you can get the student desk or a computer desk with hutch. Not to be confused with the hatch of the tv show LOST. The Barona leather task chair is $70, while more advanced desk and chair models obviously cost even more.

And this concludes are ODP coverage. To summarize, the highight of this week's circular is the wild notebook sale
